Save the Eagle! The terracotta Eagle pictured above was constructed in the early 1920's at the Washington Brick & Lime Terracotta Plant in Clayton. Since taking possession of the Eagle in 2010 from the National Guard, the CDPHS has worked hard to ensure it is available for the public to see.
After spending nearly 10 years at the Clayton Drive-In, we have since moved the Eagle to the Clayton Fairgrounds where we constructed a large pole structure to help protect the Eagle from the harsh elements. The cost of this cover exceeded our estimates, and we are looking for further donations!
