THIS IS TRULY A CLASSIC PHOTO. This is Mrs. Peters. Part of Freshmen DPHS Class of 1925. Mrs. Peters was still on the teachers staff in 1949. Feedback from many DP Alumni contributed the following, Mrs. Peters taught Commercial Arithmetic, Shorthand, Typing, and Bookkeeping. One additional note, the ink arrow indicates Mary. Here is a personal story about a Deer Park All Star Athlete, Kenny Fisher. He was first string in every sport he participated in. In Boxing he was the ultimate, Washington State Welter Weight Champion, 1947. Spokane County Champ in every year County Championships were held while Kenneth attended High School. He married his High School sweetheart Margerite Snyder. They had 3 Sons, Larry, Dave, and Doug. See the following photo for the rest of the story.
THE CLASS ACT- Kenny Fisher had a twin sister Katherine (Katy) Fisher Erickson. Kenny and Katy teamed up to have 5 Sons and a Daughter. Barbara, Paul (pictured), and Robert Erickson, Daughter and Sons of Katy and John Erickson. Kenny and his wife Margarite Snyder had 3 sons Larry, Dave and Doug. All six are Champions in their own right. Kenny and Katy, you did great!
Paul Erickson is on the left with his 3 Fisher cousins; Larry, Dave and Doug with their new ever so grateful friend, Bob Clouse. You are looking at a big reason Bob counts his blessings daily. Life is good when you get to meet young people such as these 4 gentlemen. Paul arranged for Bob to meet with Kenneth’s 3 boys. Bob was in at DPHS the same time Kenneth Fisher was. He was able to tell Ken’s boys many stories of Ken’s athlete athletic prowess. They had never heard the stories from their Dad. It was a special time for the Fisher boys. But it was an even more special time for Bob!
